TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

•Experience in molecular biology techniques, such as Real Time PCR, Northern blotting and other RNA techniques, DNA, RNA and Protein isolation, PCR, DNA sequencing, ChIP Seq, RNA sequencing using the TruSeq chemistry on the Illumina HiSeq, trained in Illumina genotyping, gene expression assays and proteomics.

•Experience with immunological assays such as ELISAs. Trained in Flowcytometry.

•Experience using statistical softwares such as SAS, SASCrunch, JMP, R, Q, Cell Quest, Flow Jo, Vector NTI, BioEdit, DnaSP, Tassel, PowerMarker, CSIV, Adobe, DAVID, R Spider, bioprofiling.

•Worked with model organisms such as mice and Drosophila and human samples.

  • Processing samples laboratory wide for DNA Seq, ChIP Seq and RNA Seq using the Illumina HiSeq. For RNA sequencing we use the TruSeq technology following the ribosome depletion approach using the ribozero depletion kits designed by Epicenter. We have an inhouse protocol to carry out the RNA extractions and for library prep making it cost effective.
