On average, all of the Genetics graduate students (Ph.D. and MS) in the Genetics Graduate Program receive tuition support through the Graduate Student Support Plan (GSSP).

Tuition and Fee rates are not final until the North Carolina Legislature Passes the Budget Bill at the end of each fiscal year.
Note Regarding Fees: It is the student’s responsibility to review charges on their student account after registration. Students are responsible for paying their fees (Except when the student’s PI advisor agrees to sponsor their fees. The PI must contact Melissa Robbins (merobbi3@ncsu.edu), Genetics Program Coordinator, to provide information of fees sponsorship arrangement.).

Applying for North Carolina Residency
It is required by the Graduate School that all graduate students apply for in-state North Carolina residency. Genetics graduate students should begin taking action immediately at the time of starting the Genetics Program.
