A COMPLETE APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION REQUIRES:

Unofficial Transcripts from each college or university attended should be uploaded to the application system. All credits must appear on the transcript from the institution granting the credit. Applicants offered admission will be required to submit Official Transcripts prior to matriculation.

A CV or Resume and a Statement of Purpose should be submitted as a portion of your online application.

Electronic submission of 3 Letters of Reference. Those providing a reference for you will submit an evaluation via the online system and will have the opportunity to upload an additional letter if they choose.

While we generally do not accept applicants for the Spring terms, exceptionally well-qualified applicants may be considered.


TIMELINE
 

Late December & Early January

 

Applications received by December 31st are reviewed by the Genetics Graduate Program Admissions Committee.

 

Late February & Early March

 

A select number of highly competitive applicants are invited to visit the Genetics Graduate Program to interview with faculty, discuss available research and funding opportunities, enjoy many social opportunities with the Genetics Program Community, and explore the Raleigh area.

 

Late April

 

Applicants that are selected to receive financial support and admission into the Genetics Graduate Program are sent an electronic notification via email.
