Obtaining NC Residency

Applying for North Carolina Residency

It is required by the Graduate School that all graduate students apply for in-state North Carolina residency. Genetics graduate students should begin taking action immediately at the time of starting the Genetics Program.

Graduate students currently classified as non-residents who wish to apply for in-state residency for tuition purposes should apply using the Residency page on March 1, 2017 when the application window opens for Summer I, Summer II and Fall 2017 semesters.
